Tom Penny came onto the skate scene in the early-to-mid 90’s, about the time that mainstream media (ie. ESPN X-Games) was picking up on the sport. Thanks to his partnership with FLIP skateboards, as one of their team riders since those early days has made for some of the most memorable decks. Most of which included some sort of drug reference, but most notable was probably the number of Cheech and Chong decks from about the same time period. As a current rider for Supra, he’s got his own signature model that just started landing at retailers.
The Supra Bandit so far has dropped in two colorways. First was a black suede version that should be available at your local Supra retailers now, as well as a new Tan suede version that drops this month. Being that the Bandit silhouette is boot inspired model the Tan suede seems fitting. Like most of the Supra lineup, cushioning is taken care of by SupraFoam®, in this case it runs throughout the midsole. Best of all this one is one that shows that despite some of the crazy colorways of other silhouettes, Supra hasn’t forgot how to make true skate shoes.
You can grab the black and tan colorways at Supra retailers now for about $70, and be on the lookout for the red leather version to land next month.
